The Albanian Institute of Public Affairs (AIPA) is a non-profit organisation founded with the support of Marin Barleti University. The Institute works closely with its faculties to provide a bridge between policymakers, researchers and academics. Committed to advancing public affairs, AIPA focuses on engaging young people in politics and addressing critical issues such as vulnerable rights, women’s rights, and the promotion of democracy.
Their mission is to foster a more democratic and inclusive society by encouraging youth participation, advocating for marginalised groups, and promoting gender equality. AIPA emphasises regional cooperation and European integration, enhancing public participation in governance, and addressing migration challenges. In tackling Albania’s brain drain issue, AIPA empowers young individuals with the necessary skills and opportunities, beginning locally and extending their influence regionally and across Europe. In 2023, they initiated a significant project supported by Western Balkan funds, underscoring their commitment to regional cooperation and youth empowerment.
