The Future We Want Transnational Caravan

The Future We Want Transnational Caravan

The caravan is part of The Future We Want, a two-year project implemented by a consortium of nine European organisations from Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, France, Belgium, Finland, Italy, Germany and Portugal, with funding from the European Commission through the European Youth Together programme. The aim of the project is to provide young Europeans with the tools to raise awareness on sustainability and climate change issues, with a focus on fast fashion and consumerism, at local and European level. Within the project 55 young people will organise a Transnational Caravan that will engage in awareness-raising activities on the streets of 17 cities around Europe. The Caravan will end its journey with a two-day event in Brussels, where the young people will organise activities on the streets of the city and meet representatives of local authorities in order to present them with the Youth Manifesto, a vision of the future developed from the information and ideas gathered by the young people in the 17 different locations. The activities will involve about 500 people in each city, especially young people, who will take part in the educational activities and receive information on environmental and fast fashion issues.
