World Fair Trade Organization Europe (WFTO-Europe) is the European branch of the World Fair Trade Organisation, a global network of Fair Trade organisations. Based in Brussels (Belgium), WFTO-Europe represents a diverse group of civil society organisations, SMEs, and importers from 17 European countries, with 108 members in total. These members, including social businesses, practise Fair Trade across the entire supply chain, working with partners in both the global South and Europe.
WFTO-Europe advocates for greater equity in trade and economic relationships, promoting Fair Trade principles at the European level. The organisation highlights the viability of alternative business models that prioritise people and the planet over profit, focusing on fair treatment of workers, community welfare, and reducing climate impact. Through innovative structures and best practice exchanges, WFTO-Europe fosters collaboration and growth among its members.
