Marco Boaria has an experience of over 20 years working in the international field.
As far as project development is concerned, he has been working in different sectors using many different European programmes (and not only!), cooperating with different Directorate Generals (DGs) of the European Commission.
He has been working as project coordinator, with particular focus on democracy, participation, youth and as external supervisor of European projects developed by public and private entities. He regularly carries out training activities, directly promoted by ALDA and in collaboration with several European training agencies (i.e. SALTO centres, youth national agencies, etc. ), as well as with other public and private clients. Its specialisation as a trainer is primarily focused on the following areas and topics: project cycle management, European funds, participatory methods, non-formal education, youth.
Marco was a member of the Steering Committee at the European level for the European Year of Citizens in 2013 and participated as an elected member in the Steering Committee of the European Alliance of the European Year of Development, set up within in Concord, the European Platform of development NGOs, in 2015.
Since 2015 he is the CEO of “GEIE Europa”, an European Group of Economic Interest participated by ALDA and the Municipality of Monfalcone (Italy), active in the frame of the European Territorial Cooperation.
He contributed to the creation and is the CEO of ALDA+, a benefit corporation company owned by ALDA promoting trainings and technical assistance worldwide to different stakeholders such as local authorities, civil society, and many more.
