The project “Shared or contested heritage” is designed to improve cross-border cooperation and exchange between cultural workers and heritage professionals from Greece, Bulgaria, and North Macedonia.

The project is conceived to raise awareness among practitioners in the field of “Dealing with the Past”, history, and cultural memory studies about the abuse of historical facts and their influence on collective memory.

The project raises awareness of the role of contested histories and shared cultural heritage for the EU integration processes among heritage practitioners and cultural workers.
