The latest ALDA Governing Board meeting took place on August 21, 2023 and it has been a fruitful opportunity to further enhance ALDA’s presence and support to democracy and communities in the region.

On July 21 2023, the ALDA Coordination Board, composed of ALDA Secretary General, Mrs. Antonella Valmorbida, the Director of Programmes and Corporate Strategy, Mr. Marco Boaria and the ALDA Office Directors and Heads of Departments and Regional Units, met the newly elected Mayor of Vicenza, Mr. Giacomo Possamai.

Within the “Great War’s High Route” project (Alta Via della Grande Guerra), ALDA+ is involved in the creation of a veritable open-air Great War museum.

On Wednesday, June 7th 2023, the members of the Governing Board of ALDA gathered in the premises of Etterbeek’s Municipal Hall, in Brussels, to discuss about key topics for the future of the Association and to prepare the ground for the upcoming General Assembly.

Established in 2015, the Local Democracy Agency (LDA) in the Dnipropetrovsk Region represents the very first LDA in the Country, as a platform for dialogue and regional development in terms of culture, society and economy.

The first result of the ReCAP project has been successfully completed!
In the framework of the Project Result 1, the final report elaborated by the project partner, Solidaridad Sin Fronteras, with the contribution of all partners, aims to draw a picture of the post pandemic local contexts addressed, collecting the specific needs of young people from the point of view of professionals working with youth.

The civil society and the cooperation with institutions are fundamental to reconstruct Ukraine. On the first anniversary of the Russian invasion, ALDA organised a dedicated event in Gdansk (Poland), entitled “LDA Mariupol partners meeting”, to present the work of the Local Democracy Agency Mariupol, while discussing activities and future collaboration with new partners from EU countries.

The great international adventure of CAMELOT  project (Cities And Metropolis in Europe Laboring Onward Together) ended on Thursday 16 February at Palazzo Isimbardi, the institutional headquarter of the Metropolitan City of Milan.

No one should be left behind, especially under war circumstances. ALDA is working exactly to achieve this aim: bridging institutions and CSOs together to create a network of stakeholders that will reconstruct Ukraine, day by day.
