Valeria joined ALDA in July 2024 as a Universal Civil Service Volunteer in the Project Management Department, specifically in the Environment and Climate Hub at the Brussels office.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Development and International Cooperation from the University of Bologna and a Master’s Degree in International Sciences and European Studies from the University of Turin.
During her academic career, Valeria explored international cooperation dynamics, with a particular focus on the European Union. She completed two Erasmus+ Traineeships: one with a local NGO in Barcelona promoting European citizenship, and another at SOLIDAR in Brussels, where she supported advocacy campaigns on just transition and EU-Latin America relations. Additionally, she worked for Oxfam Italy on a fundraising campaign, and most recently at the Europe Direct Centre of the Emilia-Romagna region.
Valeria is passionate about international cooperation, environmental and climate change issues, inequalities, and human rights.
She is a native Italian speaker and is fluent in English and Spanish.
