The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh has entered a critical phase due to recent military actions by Azerbaijani forces.
In light of these developments, it is crucial to address the pressing humanitarian concerns in Nagorno-Karabakh and the consequent flow of refugees to the mainland of Armenia. The region now faces an existential threat, with the specter of ethnic cleansing. Our foremost priority must be the protection of human rights and the well-being of the population fleeing the region or staying there.
ALDA holds deep connections with Armenia having there members and partners. With the establishment of the Local Democracy Agency Armenia in Gyumri in 2011, the Association is aimed at invigorating citizen participation, championing good governance, and fortifying local democracy in the country.
