European Solidarity for Water in Moldova (SEAM — Solidaritate Europeană pentru Apă în Moldova) is a Public Association registered in 2007 at the initiative of a group of young people from rural areas, as a subsidiary of the international organisation European Solidarity for Water (EEA), based in France.
SEAM’s main fields of activities are the implementation of decentralised water and sanitation systems in rural areas; the empowerment of local actors in the implementation of decentralised water and sanitation systems through thematic training (situation analysis, planning strategies and projects, evaluation of results) and the construction and monitoring of decentralised sanitation systems in public institutions and individual households.
