EU4Accountability will support civil society organisations in 10 districts from Republic of Moldova to influence local authorities through active participation in decision-making to better meets people’s needs.  60 NGOs will learn how to get involved in local budgeting and policy-making, which will then help to better reflect the needs of local communities and increase social accountability.

On September 1st and 2nd, ALDA participated in the 41st National Seminar of Ventotene, a 5-day long event which took place, from August 28th until September 2nd 2022, in the Centro Polivalente “Terracini”, located in the island of Ventotene.

On the 4th and 5th of July, CAMELOT partners gathered in Gdansk (Poland) for the Steering committee and the international conference at the European Solidarity Centre (ESC).

After six months, from January 2022 to June 2022, France is now handing on the baton to Czech Republic. Thus, it is now the time to welcome the Czech Presidency of the European Council, until December 2022

On the 24th June, ALDA had the pleasure to host second ALDATalk this year, dedicated to the conclusions of the Conference on the Future of Europe.

ALDA +  participated in the European Development Days 2022(EDD) which took place in Brussels on June 21-22, 2022. 

On 17 June 2022, ALDA Secretary General, Antonella Valmorbida joined the webinar entitled: “Ukraine: Regional and local initiatives for support and exchanges”, organised by the Assembly for European Region (AER).

The LET’S MEET project aims at erasing the geographical borders by sharing, through the use of new media such as podcasts, biographies of the most prominent figures of European cultures in order to highlight and embrace the cultural diversity rooted in European history. 

On 21-22 June 2022, Brussels hosted the European Development Days 2022 (EDD), Europe’s most important forum on international partnership organised by the European Commission. 

On Monday, May 9th 2022, Antonella Valmorbida, ALDA Secretary General, together with colleagues from the Strasbourg Office were pleased to be invited to the closing ceremony of the Conference on the Future of Europe.

On Wednesday the 30th ALDA France participated to “Le débat Présidentielle 2022: un quinquennat pour quelle Europe?” (2022 Presidential: a five-year period for which Europe).

“Euroscepticism at the gates of Europe”: the international event was held on 5th of March 2022 in Trieste, organized within the “EUScepticOBS: analyzing Euroscepticism, informing citizens and encouraging debates” project.

The Hemicycle of the European Parliament in Strasbourg will host her 4th plenary of the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE), from Friday 11 March until Saturday 12 March.

“Euroscepticism at the gates of Europe”: the international event organised within the “EUScepticOBS: analyzing Euroscepticism, informing citizens and encouraging debates” project. The latter, funded by the Europe for Citizens program, is aimed at fostering European citizenship, while imporoving the conditions for civic and democratic participation at Union level.

It was 9 months ago when one of the most interesting and most relevant initiatives of the European Union has kicked off.  What could be called an unprecedented event, the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFoE) is running, collecting thousands of precious inputs in the dedicated Platform.
