International African Women’s Day was promulgated by the United Nations in 1962, before being officially declared on July 31st, 1974, during the first Congress organised by the Panafrican Women’s Organisation in Dakar.

Friday, July 17th 2020 sets the starting date of a new series of free web conferences promoted by ALDA together with Reggio Children, the international centre for the defence and promotion of children’s rights and potential created to promote and safeguard the experience of Reggio Emilia’s Municipal Infant-Toddler Centres and Preschools, known in Italy and throughout the world as the Reggio Emilia Approach.

Since its kick-off meeting in Strasbourg on May 9-10th, 2019, the FACE project made great progress!

Within the framework of the IMPACT project, the DRPDNM (Association for Developing Voluntary Work Novo Mesto) implemented three local workshops with the aim of fighting inequalities and promoting cohesion and tolerance through performing arts.

A special website and a Facebook page have been launched as a part of the activities within the project “Promotion of the European Charter for equality between women and men at the local level”.

On the 19th and 20th of April in Riga (“Maritim Park Hotel Riga”), Latvia, will take place the first international event within the project StandUP, Stregthening Twinning Agreements and Networking for Development. United in Partnetship.

To highlight volunteers’ work, encourage others to join in and address the challenges they face, the 2011 European Year of Volunteering has four main objectives: lowering obstacles to volunteering in the EU; empowering volunteer organisations and improve the quality of volunteering; rewarding and recognise volunteering activities; raising awareness of the value and importance of volunteering.
